Sam I Am.
Face reveal.
This is me, 4 days after the attack. Before surgery and having my right eye sewn shut. Literally a red, laser-eyed Bitcoin maxi.
There are worse photos. I had to identify myself in a picture by the headphones I wore. But I’ll spare you from that imagery.
Bitcoin security is important. Natural encryption does not work. This thread is why.

Owning Bitcoin is smart. Storing it securely is essential. This is literally a matter of freedom, liberty, keeping the lights on, as well as life & death.
You don’t want to keep your coin on a centralized exchange. Many threat vectors to get spear-phished, hacked, SIM-swapped, etc.
Passkeys? Face-swapping is already proven on low strength facial recognition. Will your face even be the same?
Fingerprint to unlock and store your passkeys or password keeper? Your finger can be removed from your hand to unlock a fingerprint sensor. Someone missing a digit might not be Yakuza, they might have been hacked – literally.
Store your seed phrase in a chip on your wrist? Give someone a hand and they’ll take your assets. Word is the limbless beggars you see in undeveloped nations didn’t loose a hand in a manufacturing accident. They lost their hand at the poker table. And are forced by loan sharks to beg for money, filling an empty bowl over and over, until the debt is forgiven.
Next generation – DNA? We leave behind DNA and can be sampled from your trash.
Self-custody with a hardware wallet in your home? That’s the stupidest idea in the world. Would you keep all of your money in your house? (h/t Wences at Xapo) People brag about storing their hardware wallets next to their firearms – that’d be asking for a gunfight, or to get kidnapped before you enter your home. An exchange with whitelist and 2FA will only get you so far. That’s 48 hours to 1 week of torture. #WrenchAttack
Don’t rely on memorizing your seed phrase. Our brains degrade over time. Or all of a sudden on impact.
Was I attacked because of my Bitcoin? Probably not. I can’t tell you. Literally and legally. But I will tell you that I can’t be tortured or kidnapped for my Bitcoin.
I believe anonymity and privacy will be a luxury in the future.
I’ll give up a little anonymity for your security.
There are people who need to be anonymous for their physical security. But they might not have their Bitcoin securely stored.
This is how. Don’t store your bitcoin in your home or your head. Multi-sig. Multi-custodial. And a protocol for your passing. Remember, no one gets out of life alive. Make sure you don’t take your seed-phrase with you to the grave. You can’t take your coin to the other side. Charon doesn’t charge Bitcoin.
I’m unveiling something new the day before Bitcoin Nashville. A dinner with no dinner. Buy a ticket. Learn about secure self-custody, see new products, learn about Bitcoin mining, come say hello in-person.
Obviously I never carry Bitcoin on me. No one attending Nashville should carry Bitcoin. And I could never remember a seed-phrase reliably with dyslexica. US Military and Renzo crew are invited. Thanks for keeping us safe, and saving my life.
If someone tries to take your head off, and you make it out alive…
When your face is covered in blood and you can’t speak because your skull is broken…all you can do is fist pump. Flex to let everyone know it’s all good. You are still alive.

This is me now.
I’m not a whale. I’m a swordfish. Fighting for Bitcoin by empowering Bitcoin Miners. This isn’t about keeping my lights on. This is about keeping America’s lights on. That’s what Bitcoin Miners do through load balancing. Thank you for not leaving us in the dark.
Uncle Larry says “Write a tweet about going from 0 to 1.” We’re going to 21M/∞
I created something new for Bitcoin Mining operations. Decentralize. So we can stand United.
If you’re a Bitcoin Miner, from solo to industrial, or energy provider. I’d love to speak with you.

With gratitude,
